The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will have an amazing opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of care of patients in the surgery department at a well-known hospital in Ohio!The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the surgical nursing department. This includes managing a team of highly skilled nursing staff across all surgical specialties, ensuring optimal patient care, safety, and efficiency throughout all stages of surgical procedures. The Perioperative Services Nurse Director will be supported by an experienced CNOR Operating Room Manager and two Surgical Services Nurse Supervisors and will be entrusted with the responsibility of fostering a collaborative and high-performing team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of patient care, while continuously striving for improvements in both clinical and operational outcomes.The Nursing Director will be proudly employed by a hospital that was awarded the HFAP Patient Quality & Safety Accreditation. Located in Ohio, this esteemed hospital performs more than 4,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries annually, offering a wide range of specialized procedures across multiple surgical fields including gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery, urology, podiatry, plastic surgery, endoscopy, and radiology interventional procedures.As the RN Director Surgical Services, you will lead efforts to ensure operational efficiency within the surgery department, from pre-operative assessment through post-operative recovery. This includes managing patient flow, ensuring effective communication between the surgical teams, and optimizing the use of resources such as staff, equipment, and supplies. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards, ensuring that the department adheres to the hospital's policies and procedures while also implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
